SUKYF has developed an impressive portfolio of houses in the South East Asia region that explore and express their interpretations of modern tropical architecture while incorporating the needs and resources of Mediterranean contemporary style into the morphology and light treatment of the volumetrically compositions.
Villa Vatulele is made of a series of volumes organically arranged into a main central garden – patio and it roman style reminiscences, the service circulation are designed in one side of the property and is clearly integrated into a garden corridor alongside of the upper platform.
The swimming pools are one of the main characters of the project, drama is also created by the interaction of the sunset lights with a massive 3 story high waterfall that runs down the surface of the local Singaraya slate stone walls. The main pool offers itself into a 10 meters cantilever to the horizon and the bucolically rice paddies landscapes and the tropical jungle of Bali.
